Think Rocky meets the Untouchables…
Yep, I can’t believe that’s it’s been five years since I launched my contribution to the Fight Card series of books written in the old pulp-fiction style.
I’ve given Ladies Night a much-needed make over from the size of the book to the interior. I’ve given the story a close look-see and played hatched man on some first-published author’s issues. What’s left is a clean, lean, and mean—the best version of Ladies Night.
Fight Card Romance: Ladies Night is set to re-launch on October 15, 2018. Be one of the first to get your new copy of my 4- and 5- Star Rated book, and jump in the ring with a winner.
Jimmy and Lindy Doherty are thrilled to tell their story of love, boxing, and murder set in the hoppin’ ’50s..
Los Angeles, 1954 … Gangsters, crime, boxing—and romance …
Jimmy Doherty, hard-luck orphan from the south side of Chicago, was mentored in the Sweet Science by Father Tim Brophy, the Battling Priest of St. Vincent’s Asylum for Boys. Jimmy’s fists were good enough to take him to LA where he’s rising up the local fight-cards. He plans to be a contender and even bigger plans for Lindy—his trainer’s only daughter, who’s sweeter than apple pie and harder to resist.
When Lindy is arrested for killing a boxer, Jimmy is forced to join forces with the arresting detective—who would like to do much more with Lindy than put her in handcuffs—in a desperate search for the real killer.
Love can be murder—in the ring and out…
On October 15, you’ll be able to grab your copy and see if Jimmy and Lindy can fight their way out from behind the eight ball and not end up face-first on the canvas.
Lindy, the heroine of my novel, “Ladies Night,” wanted me to tell the readers of her and Jimmy’s love story, that’s she’s hosting a giveaway sponsored by I Am A Reader, Not A Writer. Because of the trials she had to endure, she wants to inspire women everywhere to keep fighting for their dreams, their passion – be it their health, their way of life, or their man. Lindy also wanted to express her gratitude for supporting her and Jimmy on the fight of their lives.
What is Lindy giving-a-way?
The Grand Prize is a $25 Gift Certificate from Amazon and a autographed paperback copy of Lindy and Jimmy’s Story, “Fight Card Romance: Ladies Night.” Lindy wanted me to emphasis that you don’t have to buy anything to be apart of this give-a-way. Of course, she would appreciate it if you would read about her struggles after being arrested for killing a boxer with ties to the mob. But she’s not going to say anything more about that right now.
In order to sign-up for the contest that will run from November 15th through November 30th, please leave your comment and enter. You can also subscribe to my newsletter by leaving your name and email on the side bar, and at the bottom of the website, there are the appropriate buttons to follow me.
Both Lindy and I express our appreciation for your support and hope you’ll win the Grand Prize and keep punchin’ away at your dreams and follow where your passion leads you.
