Lindy, the heroine of my novel, “Ladies Night,” wanted me to tell the readers of her and Jimmy’s love story, that’s she’s hosting a giveaway sponsored by I Am A Reader, Not A Writer. Because of the trials she had to endure, she wants to inspire women everywhere to keep fighting for their dreams, their passion – be it their health, their way of life, or their man. Lindy also wanted to express her gratitude for supporting her and Jimmy on the fight of their lives.

What is Lindy giving-a-way?beautiful couple, blond woman hug a man

The Grand Prize is a $25 Gift Certificate from Amazon and a autographed paperback copy of Lindy and Jimmy’s Story, “Fight Card Romance: Ladies Night.”  Lindy wanted me to emphasis that you don’t have to buy anything to be apart of this give-a-way. Of course, she would appreciate it if you would read about her struggles after being arrested for killing a boxer with ties to the mob. But she’s not going to say anything more about that right now.

In order to sign-up for the contest that will run from November 15th through November 30th, please leave your comment and enter. You can also subscribe to my newsletter by leaving your name and email on the side bar, and at the bottom of the website, there are the appropriate buttons to follow me.

Both Lindy and I express our appreciation for your support and hope you’ll win the Grand Prize and keep punchin’ away at your dreams and follow where your passion leads you.

  1. Sounds like I need to read Lindy’s book. 😀 I hope you have a wonderful holiday season.

  2. I try to be grateful for everything that I have and I am truly grateful for my husband. He is a gem. Thank you.

  3. I think gratitude is one of the most important and most overlooked aspects of society. I constantly feel overwhelmed with gratitude for everything I’ve been blessed with–a safe home, loving family, comfortable life, even just a beautiful day. If everyone took more joy in everything they have and found it in them to be grateful for all the little things–and less focused on what they want and don’t have–the world would be such a better place.

  4. I’m very grateful for my family. 4 days before Thanksgiving last year I unexpectedly lost my dad. It was the most horrible holiday I’ve ever had. This year is hard but it makes me more thankful for the family I do have. They bring me happiness. I’m also really thankful for books. They take my mind out of difficult real life problems. I’m also grateful for all these wonderful blogs that are participating in these giveaways. Sharing and giving means a lot to people who otherwise can’t afford to buy a book. So thank you so very much. Happy Holidays!

  5. I love thanksgiving time. This year is my first as a wife, since I got married this past June. I look forward to my husband cooking our turkey on the Grill!!

  6. Gratitude ought to be a year-round thing. It’s too bad it’s only really celebrated once a year. (So says every wife to her husband!)

  7. I am always thankful for my beautiful daughter Abby who is 7 – she has Williams syndrome and so every day I have to spend with her is wonderful! I think anyone who has a disabled child can understand that 🙂

  8. I am thankful for a military husband that finally retired and came home a hero and a disabled veteran, but he came home!

  9. “Develop an attitude of gratitude, and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation.”
    Brian Tracy

  10. I’m so thankful for my family. They’ve been my rock through thick and thin, and I couldn’t accomplish anything without their love and support.

Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas to you and yours.

  26. I’m thankful right now for my home. I’m very lucky right now with the horrible tornados that went thru our area recently, that I have a home for my family.

    • I’m so sorry for all weather trouble your area is suffering from. We don’t know how blessed we are until that peace and safety is threatened, do we Michele. Best wished to you for a windless holiday.

  27. This year I have been very grateful my kids health! Mine has been terrible but they have only had colds (knock on wood!) Sometimes we take that for granted when they are driving us completely crazy!

    • Have a child drive you nearly to a bottle of Zoloft is complete understandable, Stephanie. I’ve got one who’s now 30, but still has the power to wring me inside out, though I love him dearly. I’m grateful he’s around the give me something to worry about. Happy Turkeyday to you and yours.

  33. Thank you for participating in this great hop! I am grateful for my family and that we are all on the mend now. Happy Thanksgiving!

  34. I guess I forgot to say what I am thankful for. I am thankful for my family and my health. I have an almost 30 y/o old but he is married. They live with me. I have a 4 BR house and don’t need it for just myself so it works out well. And I just had a heart cath that showed my stents were patent and my heart looks good otherwise. So, all in all, I am doing great.

    • Oh, my Linda. You are very blessed. I’m so thankful you would share that with me. I also have a 30 year old, but his choices have not given him the best of lives. Even now he lives under addictions that keep him from progressing, but I love him and am grateful for the experience of being a mother. Blessings to you.

  35. I am thankful that everyone in my family is happy and healthy and that my husband found a job after being laid off this Summer.

    • I know exactly what you were going through this year with your husband laid off, Susan. My husband has often had periods of very long months without employment. It makes us ever grateful in these tough economic times when we are able to work and support ourselves. Best of luck to you and your family.

  36. Thank you so much for the giveaway. Gratitude is a quality that makes us all humble. I am very grateful for my wonderful family and also to all the great bloggers and authors for making reading so much fun!!

    • You are so right, Jeanne, gratitude makes us see the great things that happen to us in our lives. When we are sick, we appreciate the times when we’re not. When we have adversity and wade through somehow, we are grateful for the strength we gained. When we’re apart from our family, we appreciate being back together and love them all the more. As a writer, it is my pleasure to write the words that help people feel good about themselves and the world around them. Thank you for coming to my blog and commenting.

  37. I am thankful for my sons. I never thought I wanted to be married or have children but without a doubt it is the greatest surprise and gift I have ever gotten!

  38. I am grateful for the authors that share their books and the blogs that help me find them. Thanks for sharing the hop and your giveaway. Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! evamillien at gmail dot com

  39. I am thankful my hubby has a good job that allows me to do the only “job” I ever want to do… be a stay at home mom. I love it!

    jrryba(at)gmail(dot)com

    • You are so blessed, Jessica. Being there for our children is imperative to their development, their sense of security. I’m afraid I missed a few of my son’s formative years and now wonder if that would have made a difference in his behavior. Thanks for entering.

    • My mom and my husband’s mom were both teachers, Katie. We both benefited from their love of teaching. I’m sure your students are grateful for you as well. Thanks for the note.

  40. On November 18th my 6 year old son was hit by a car on his way to the bus stop while I watched from my living room window. The car was going 25-30 mph when it hit him. By the time I got outside to him the car was already driving away. It’s a miracle that he walked away with only a nasty bump on the head and some horrible bruises. The doctors at the trauma center said it was a miracle he landed on top of the car because if he went under it he would have been killed. I’m so thankful that he is okay. I’m also thankful for the firemen and police officers that came to his rescue, the trauma team who made sure my baby was okay, and the amazing nurses who kept my son calm while we were unable to be with him as well as my husband I. Thank you, thank you!!

    • What a horrific story, Kimberley. Thank god your son is okay. My nephew went through a similar accident while I sat on the porch with his mother. The scene never leaves me. He was also okay. Let us never take our lives or the lives of those loved ones around us for granted. Bless you.

    • Congratulations on your marriage, Ashley. What a wonderful time of the year to get married. You will always be thankful for meeting and marrying the right guy. Remember the key to a happy marriage is to be unselfish, caring for your spouses needs almost before your own will help you see their worth. Thanks for the comment.

    • Thank you for your kind words, Kelly. I have certainly had a journey filled with surprises, twists and turns. Publication is not what I thought it would be. I appreciate your thoughts about learning to appreciate the little things in life that we so often take for granted. Many blessings to you.

  44. Thanks for the giveaway and happy turkey day if you celebrate it. I’m so thankful for my family (they really help keep the darker days of life away or at least makes them better), for the roof over our heads (there are so many that don’t have that), and the amazing people that have come into ours lives in the moments we’ve needed them most!

    • Your thoughts about family are beautiful, Jesse. Yes family can be the strength we need to keep moving forward. I did celebrate Thanksgiving Day with my beloved husband and son and some dear friends. You are right about people crossing our paths when we are in need the most. Thanks for the comment.

    • Thank you Tina, for coming to my blog and commenting and for allowing me to subscribe to yours as well. You have quite the life. Yes, I do love books and reading. But that was not always the case. For many years, I didn’t read, and I regret those years terribly. Now I can’t get enough, reading about 130 books a year. So I love reading and literature related projects.

  45. I am grateful every day for my blessings. I have a loving family and we are all in good health. Whenever I have bad days, I try to put it in perspective. So many are worse off. As hubby puts it, many of our daily frustrations are “first world” problems.

And thank you for being part of this hop! 😉

    • You’re very welcome. I love sharing. What a wonderful tribute to your mother, Toni. Mine too was a great supporter although she died before I started to write, I know she would be the first one to read my stories and keep encouraging me.

    • I’m bias, Amanda, but I think for a first time book, I hit one out of the park, or punched one out of the ring, something like that. Thanks for commenting.

    • Thank you for commenting and for entering my giveaway, Danielle, this is my first. I like blogging and connecting with other authors and my readers. It thrills me.

    • The book, The Element, subscribes to the theory that doing what we love and loving what we do is finding passion. Sounds like you’ve found yours.

  52. I wish the gratitude that is so plentiful at Thanksgiving would be more common a month later when so many people think they are entitled to material goods.

    • You and me both, Allie. We shouldn’t need just one day a year to remind us to be grateful. Perhaps I’ll have another gratitude giveaway in March or one in August. We should always have a heart filled with gratitude, its the basis of all other emotions.

    • Thank you for entering and yes, we have a great group of authors that support one another and a fabulous group of readers, for which I am very grateful.

    • I can only image what it is like to have a daughter, Andrina, since I only have a husband and son and was raised with four boys. Not a lot of girls in my family. Blessings to you.
